Fiorentina have announced Gennaro Gattuso will not take over at the Artemio Franchi and the Viola are reportedly looking at Claudio Ranieri, Walter Mazzarri and Rudi Garcia.

The Viola confirmed the Calabrian coach will not be their new head coach after all, after a spat between the former Milan and Napoli tactician, patron Rocco Commisso and the Club Manager Giancarlo Antognoni.

Official: Gattuso walks away from Fiorentina job

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the President is now working to find a solution to this unexpected situation.

Ranieri left Sampdoria after 2020-21 and is currently without a job and could be a high-quality option for the dugout, as he helped the Blucerchiati finish ninth in Serie A.

Mazzarri has not worked since he left Torino in February 2020 and the 59-year-old is mentioned as one of the candidates on Commisso’s list.

Former Roma coach Rudi Garcia left Olympique Lyonnais after 2020-21 and the newspaper claims he is at the top of the wish list at the Viola, but there’s also a possibility of a third return for Beppe Iachini.
