Future Milan coach Ralf Rangnick has reportedly chosen Patrik Schick to lead their attack next season, as RB Leipzig won’t pay Roma the full €29m.

The 24-year-old Czech Republic international spent this season on loan at RB Leipzig, partly because he was picked by Red Bull Head of Sport and Development Rangnick.

The loan cost €3.5m and there was an option to buy for a further €29m, but the German club let that expire, hoping to negotiate a significantly lower fee.

Schick scored 10 goals in 22 Bundesliga matches this season, rediscovering his confidence after a difficult time at Roma.

According to Sportitalia, Milan are now targeting Schick due to a special request from their future coach, Rangnick.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is leaving at the end of the season, while Rafael Leao is struggling to find his role in the team.
