Former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio is reportedly still considering an offer from Scottish club Rangers.

Marchisio was said to have turned down an offer from Rangers last week as he was closing in on a free transfer to Monaco.

However, transfer expert Matteo Pedrosi assures Steven Gerrard’s side remain on the table for the 33-year-old, alongside Monaco and Brazilian outfit Flamengo.

Marchisio was said to have turned down an offer from Rangers last week as he was closing in on a free transfer to Monaco.

However, transfer expert Matteo Pedrosi assures Steven Gerrard’s side remain on the table for the 33-year-old, alongside Monaco and Brazilian outfit Flamengo.

Pedrosi adds the former Italy international has already ruled out moves to Brescia and Inter’s Chinese sister club Jiangsu Suning.

Rangers are currently second in the Scottish Premiership after three wins from four games and have qualified for the Europa League group stage.

They are known for their Italian contingent, with the likes of Gennaro Gattuso, Sergio Porrini and Marco Negri having played at Ibrox over the years.

Marchisio, for his part, is a free agent after leaving Zenit St Petersburg over the summer and had knee surgery in April.
