Rangers are still set to host Napoli in their Champions League clash next week, despite fears that the match might have been moved to Italy due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Premier League and Championship both suspended all fixtures this weekend as a mark of respect to the Queen, who sadly passed away earlier this week. The decision by the English FA has led to many raising concerns regarding next week’s European fixtures, leaving Napoli uncertain.

As reported by Record Sport, Rangers’ management are still planning to host Napoli on Tuesday next week despite the Queen’s death. The Scottish club are in constant contact with UEFA and the Scottish police, and the idea of switching to the away leg in Naples was ruled out due to the logistical issues it would cause supporters.

Scottish police expect more than 200,000 people to arrive in Edinburgh over the next few days in preparation for the match.
