Wales international Aaron Ramsey admitted the last two years have been ‘frustrating’ but said he will return to Turin after Euro 2020. ‘I’m a Juventus player’.

Reports in Italy have suggested Ramsey could be on his way this summer, as he has struggled to convince at the Allianz Stadium. But the Welsh midfielder is sure he will return to Turin after the European Championship.

“Yes, I’m a Juventus player,” Ramsey told Sky Sports.

The 30-year-old arrived at Juventus in July 2019 but has struggled with a series of injury setbacks during his time with the Bianconeri.

“It has obviously been a very frustrating period for me over the last couple of years,” Ramsey told Sky Sports.

“I have picked up a few small niggly injuries which have been frustrating, and I haven’t been able to get any consistency going.

“It’s frustrating when you arrive at a new club and you want to hit the ground running and showing everyone what you are capable of doing consistently.

“That’s always going to be difficult when you have these little injuries that set you back a couple of weeks and then the rhythm and things like that is interrupted.

“And then you can chuck in COVID as well, which hasn’t helped.”

Ramsey is currently preparing for Euro 2020 with Wales, who are drawn in Group A with Italy and will face some of his teammates from Continassa on June 20.
