Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey has suffered a flexor problem and is uncertain for Lazio after playing both games with Wales in November.

The midfielder has struggled to convince Massimiliano Allegri and the Bianconeri are reportedly working to terminate his deal at the Allianz Stadium.

Reports in Italy suggest he could leave already in January, as he has only played five competitive games in 2021-22, meaning he has already more minutes with Wales this season.

He struggled with a muscular problem when the Welsh drew 0-0 with Estonia in September, but has appeared four times since, completing 331 minutes.

The former Arsenal star, capped 71 times by Wales, captained the side in two of the World Cup Qualifiers – against Estonia in October and Belgium this month.

Allegri on Juventus injuries and Chelsea clash

“I have to evaluate Ramsey,” Allegri said at a press conference ahead of Lazio on Saturday. “Yesterday, he had a flexor problem, and we will see if he can be available tomorrow.”

Ramsey has struggled with muscle problems earlier in the campaign but has mostly been on the bench as Juventus have worked to turn things around after a poor start to the campaign.

The 30-year-old has only played 98 minutes in Serie A this term, plus 14 minutes in the Champions League divided between the away trips to Malmo FF and Zenit St Petersburg.

Ramsey has played 70 competitive games since joining Juventus on a free transfer in July 2019, contributing six goals and six assists in the process.

  1. I seem to have been able to beat the signings of Diego and Melo. I must for sure go down in history as the worst sporting director in Juve in the last 25 years.
