Aaron Ramsey has reportedly passed his medicals with Rangers ahead of his move away from Juventus.

The 31-year-old Welsh midfielder seemed destined to remain in Turin this month after turning down a number of offers from the Premier League, but he has finally decided to take a breath of fresh air and he’s set to join the Scottish side.

As reported by Romeo Agresti, Ramsey has completed his medicals successfully with Rangers ahead of his move. The player will be joining the Scottish side on a loan deal with a buy option attached.

The Welshman has struggled for consistent playing time this season due to various physical injuries. He has only made five appearances across all competitions, for a total of 112 minutes. Muscle problems and a short battle with COVID forced him to the sidelines of a large part of this campaign.

He is contracted to Juventus until 2023 and the Bianconeri will be hoping that he impresses enough on loan to earn a move to the Scottish side.

  1. Ramsey playing chess whilst Juve and Rangers playing checkers. He’ll get an easier ride at Rangers in Scottish pub level league against postmen and supermarket delivery drivers than in EPL. Rangers are obviously daft enough to overlook his injury record and pay a high % of his wage. Scottish media writing that Rangers convinced Juve to give a 6m option to purchase. Juve would’ve paid Rangers 6m to sign him permanently…

  2. Great that the he’s left the league, but Juve are still stuck with him. Can’t see Rangers being able to pay his huge wages in full in the summer.

And as Paolo said, Juve would pay them 6m to get rid of him. Absolute disaster.

  3. Bye Bye Ramsey – I know that you were upset that you didn’t get a parade when you arrived especially since worse midfielders than you such as Kondogbia got one but we are having a parade now to see you go ! Who misses Marotta when you got CHERUBINI !!
