Now the former Arsenal midfielder has not made the trip to Slovakia for the first Euro 2020 qualifier, remaining in Cardiff to continue training and treatment.
“He felt a bit of tightness in his adductor. He trained today and we're hopeful he’ll play on Sunday” against Croatia, said Wales manager Ryan Giggs.
The 28-year-old has made four competitive appearances for Juve this season, for a total of 198 minutes of football, scoring one goal.
