Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst admits Aaron Ramsey was ‘very down’ after missing a decisive penalty kick in the Europa League Final last night and according to Italian media, the Welshman is likely to return to Juventus in the summer.

Ramsey was the only one to miss a penalty kick during the shootout in the Europa League Final between Rangers and Eintracht Frankfurt last night.

He had joined the Scottish giants on loan from Juventus in January. Rangers don’t have an option to make his move permanent, so the 31-year-old is likely to return to Turin in June.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ramsey will ‘almost surely’ make his Allianz Stadium comeback in the summer, but Juventus will be looking for other suitors as Max Allegri has no plans for him at the club.

Ramsey only managed five appearances in the first part of the season under the Tuscan tactician before joining Rangers on a temporary deal.

“He is very down, it’s never nice to lose. Everyone is hurt and disappointed. It’s normal after the game, of course, he was disappointed, but he took responsibility to take the penalty,” Rangers boss van Bronckhorst said last night.

“You can make it or miss it. Unfortunately for us, he didn’t make it, but you want to have players taking penalties who are ready and comfortable.”

  1. Can you believe Juventus is paying Ramsey`s agent 3M net/year for the whole duration of his contract? That`s on top of his 1nsane wage.

  2. serie a will probably welcome him back as a great player, if he was italian he would be released, serie a is such a joke, the people in charge need to find another profession

  3. PhD Max is waiting with open arms. Ready and willing to guide him in the further arts of the back, back, down, down. Coming to a football pitch in 2022/2023 bigger, slower and more incompetent then ever. Now I wait for the Fish and Chips bucktooth, pasty skin English white trash to try to impersonate me or come with the Lord Inzaghi name. Cannot blame the poor girl as the English always have to copy us. Small island, miserable weather and funny looking people lol. At least his mom knows the back, back, down, down.

  5. @lord WHY DO YOU HATE ALLEGRI? he is one of best Italian coach. Please give him next season before all these negative comments. too many injuries handicap him this season.

  6. @incredible, because he is an idiot without manners. That’s a perfect combination to become the trash of this world.

  7. It’s funny watching you argue with the wrong dude but I’ll wade in because as usual, a yank shoots from the hip and asks questions later. Allegri ousted Ramsey so it’s unlikely that he fits into his plans. Now, go back to watching your 4 hour and 50 ad break games, while the rest watch something that the English created as an official sport. Oh the irony.

  8. oi oi boys stop arguing and @Debu you seem too tense. I can relieve you of that pain with my 2 inch subway sandwich. Let me be your fish and I can be your chips. I will get the jellied eels, extra ketchup and vinegar in, and we can take turns doing the back, back, down, down. Hurry up I am offering a limited edition 5 for 1 special.

  9. @Debu better hurry up my MingE is getting warmed up. Ready, willing and able for 2 minutes before the batteries go flat. Cannot blame us English, we are light weight and climate change is our religion.

  10. You guys crack me up, but seriously Norata think about who can view such comments. Nice to see the the imposter Lord is doing his China hate and cannot even spell the country properly. If Ramsey does return lets just hope we can flog him off anywhere, or just keep him in the reserves. I have a feeling we might have to keep him and just wind down that contract. There are not going to be many takers. With Bernardeschi not renewing his contract, slowly but surely we are getting rid of the deadwood.
