Juventus announced their squad numbers for the 2022-23 season and the absence of Aaron Ramsey did not go unnoticed.

The 31-year-old Welsh forward did not have an easy first half of the season under Massimiliano Allegri last campaign, making only three Serie A appearances as he struggled with various muscle injuries. He joined Rangers on loan in January and found a little more success, scoring two goals and providing two assists in 13 games.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Ramsey was left absent on the Juventus squad number list, with his number eight being vacant. Whilst it was hardly up for debate, this absence all but confirms that Ramsey will not be involved in Allegri’s plans for next season.

Rumours now talk of a possible severance deal, with Juventus keen to shift his heavy wages. The former Arsenal man earns around €7m net per season plus add-ons, something the Bianconeri are tired of paying now. His deal lasts for one more year and he could be paid €4m to leave the club now.

  1. He was a nedved buy, – since nedved got rid off moratta – he’s made really poor choices.

But lets celebrate – ramsey leaving

  2. No, this rests purely on Paratici. He found a fellow parasite. No need to give a squad number for someone who only collects a wage and then Plas every game for Wales. Con artist. Can’t wait for him to leave.

  3. MOHAMMED
You are wrong (again), it was Paratici who forked out the fat contract to Ramsey. And I don’t blame him, anyone would sign it in Ramseys shoes. Nedved was the one that pushed for CR7.

  4. Bit hard to fault Ramsey, someone offered me 400 large a week I’d sign the contract too. It’s whoever sanctioned the deal needs the criticism.
