Ramsey agent reaches decision after Juventus meeting

Aaron Ramsey’s agent met with Juventus today and the plan is to find him a new club in January, but there won’t be a contract termination by mutual consent.

The Wales international is not part of Max Allegri’s tactical plans, is one of the biggest earners in Turin and has a very poor injury record since joining the Bianconeri as a free agent from Arsenal in 2019.

He is under contract until June 2023, so there were reports that Juve and Ramsey’s agent could consider a termination by mutual consent in January.

However, following today’s meeting at the Continassa training ground, it was decided that is not an option going forward.

Ramsey is eager to move on and the feeling is very much mutual, so the issue now is finding a club prepared to buy him in the January transfer window.

According to the latest reports, a loan would also be possible, but only if his salary is fully covered.

Newcastle United and Everton have been most heavily linked with a mid-season swoop for Ramsey, who turns 31 later this month.
