Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos believes Champions League final opponents Juventus are “very similar” to Atletico Madrid.

Los Merengues have beaten their city rivals to win their last two Champions League titles, and the defender expects a similar challenge from the Bianconeri.

“Are we favourites? It’s difficult to believe,” Ramos said in an interview with El Partidazo.

“They have a great team and we’ll have to be very careful. It won’t be easy to face Juventus, who have already beaten great opponents.

“Is this our most difficult final? No, everyone has something different. Juve and Atletico are two opponents who are very similar.”

Ramos also discussed several of the Old Lady’s squad, including former teammate Gonzalo Higuain.

“I know him very well, we’ve been in contact for several years. He knows that anything can happen on Saturday, though there will be maximum respect and no malice, everyone has to defend his team.

“He had a very good season and is in form, I’ll try to make sure he can’t do it on Saturday.

“As for Dani Alves, I’ve always said that he’s one of the best players in the world. I won’t have anything to say to him, I don’t want to be rude.

“Everyone has their own opinion but you must be sporting and respectful, particularly in a final.

“Paulo Dybala? He’s very quick, he plays well between the lines and he can score.

“Sami Khedira? A lot of people thought he was finished, but he’s still there are a world champion and a key part of Juve.”

Finally, the centre-back was asked how many friends and relatives are coming to support him in Cardiff.

“It’s almost 20,” Ramos revealed.

“I sent [Barcelona’s Gerard] Pique a ticket, but he didn’t answer…”
