The squad had been in quarantine after several of their players had been diagnosed with the virus with a list of stars to undergo new tests after the initial isolation period.

Ramirez has claimed other teams “have been hiding” positive cases of coronavirus and expressed his thoughts on the matter.
“It’s hard. These days are tough, and the news is written, to hear about all those dead… I feel a deep sadness for them, for their loved ones,” he told Il Secolo XIX. “My family and I are well, thanks to heaven, aware that we must make our contribution, staying at home.
“We faced our emergency with serenity, often hearing from our teammates who are infected, and they have reassured us about their conditions,” he added. “Sampdoria has not kept anything hidden, many other teams have, and I don’t understand it.
“It’s a lack of respect for those who have been transparent and for the people who have been in contact with the infected.
“Revealing that you have the virus is not a stain on the criminal record, it’s a question of health, ethics. If you want to win the war, you have to isolate the infected.
“Does anyone seriously think that in Serie A, only Sampdoria had five, six or seven infected?”
Those who tested positive at Sampdoria were Manolo Gabbiadini, Albin Ekdal, Antonino La Gumina, Morten Thorsby, Fabio Depaoli, Bartosz Bereszynski and Edgar Barreto.
