Mino Raiola reportedly wants guarantees over Milan’s ownership before Gianluigi Donnarumma will renew.

The 17-year-old has become the Rossoneri’s number one goalkeeper, and the club are looking to extend his contract which currently expires in 2018.

However, calciomercato.com is reporting that there are two issues holding up the deal, with the first being financial considerations.

While Donnarumma’s wage request is not thought to be excessive, his agent Mino Raiola wants to assure an appropriate contract for such a talented prospect.

However, calciomercato.com is reporting that there are two issues holding up the deal, with the first being financial considerations.

While Donnarumma’s wage request is not thought to be excessive, his agent Mino Raiola wants to assure an appropriate contract for such a talented prospect.

Given the goalkeeper’s age, that doesn’t mean making him one of the highest paid players at the club, but a significant raise on his current €160,000 per season will be required.

The second issue is more important, as Raiola wants guarantees over the Chinese consortium which is in the process of buying the Rossoneri.

Sino-Europe Sports have already been openly questioned by the agent, and this morning brought fresh doubts about their takeover.

Raiola therefore wants a face-to-face meeting with those running the consortium before he will allow his client to tie his future to the Diavolo.

For his part, Donnarumma wants to stay with Milan, but there will need to be guarantees in place before he signs the extension he and the club want.
