Mino Raiola reveals Alessio Romagnoli could join Juventus with Matthijs de Ligt leaving Turin, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic will become a club director at the end of his playing career.
The Italian agent discussed the future of his clients in an interview with Rai Sport.
There was no better time to talk about De Ligt and Romagnoli with Juventus and Milan meeting at the Allianz Stadium tomorrow.
The Milan captain will see his contract expire in June 2022 and he doesn’t seem anywhere close to reaching an agreement over a new deal with the Serie A giants.
“I think he and De Ligt are among the best defenders in Europe. De Ligt has a contract, while Romagnoli’s deal expires next year,” Raiola said, as quoted by Calciomercato.com.
“I think they could play together at Juventus next season, but pay attention because De Ligt could leave Juve at the end of the season. That’s how the market works, there are many clubs interested in signing him.”
De Ligt joined Juventus in a €75m deal plus €10.5 add-ons from Ajax in 2019, signing a contract until June 2024.
Raiola also discussed the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the Swede’s deal at Milan runs out at the end of the campaign.
“We talk [about his future] every year. He is like a promissory note that expires every 12 months. I’m sure the day he doesn’t feel like the orchestra’s first violin, he will say ‘I’m done’ and will become a director.”
During the same interview, Raiola also revealed that Paul Pogba’s return to Juventus depends on the Bianconeri’s transfer strategies and insisted that Gigio Donnarumma didn’t betray Milan by completing a free transfer to PSG in the summer.
