According to La Repubblica newspaper, Mino Raiola is working to find a Premier League club willing to sign Inter defender Stefan de Vrij at the end of the season.

De Vrij has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, including Everton and Tottenham and according to La Repubblica, England could be the next destination for the Dutch defender.

Signed on a free transfer from Lazio in 2018, De Vrij has played 133 games with the Nerazzurri, winning the Serie A title last term.

However, according to La Repubblica newspaper, this could be his last season in a Nerazzurri shirt as his agent Mino Raiola is pushing for his move to the Premier League.

According to the report, the agent ‘would not mind’ seeing the defender play in England from next season.

De Vrij was also linked with Manchester United when his contract with Lazio was expiring in 2018.

However, the Dutch centre-back opted for Inter, where his contract expires in June 2023.

3 thought on “Raiola pushing for De Vrij’s Premier League move?”
  1. I think he would be a great fit for a Premier League side playing 3-at-the-back, wanting to build from the back, but in a back 4 he’s not too dissimilar to a lot of players so even Raiola would be hard pushed to work a money making angle for him.

  2. can you blame him for wanting to leave? i hear that he wants to at least play a round of 16 match in Champions League and the day that happens with Inter anytime soon !!

  3. Please read the report again, as it seems like the editors got you fooled. It`s Raiola that would NOT mind De Vrij leaving, because he would cash in big time. De Vrij probably wants to stay after most of his career in Serie A. Why would he leave for EPL? Especially for mid table clubs mentioned above. Not worried at all.
