Zlatan Ibrahimovic would rather be at Milan than Manchester United, revealed agent Mino Raiola. “They are in his heart.”

When Ibra’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired in June, there was talk of a return to San Siro, but he eventually signed for Jose Mourinho’s outfit at Old Trafford.

“Italy cannot afford him, so we had to work out other plans,” Raiola told Mediaset Premium.

“Milan are in his heart, certainly his favourite club in Italy and probably the whole world. But this summer we always worked towards Manchester United.”

The Rossoneri are currently in the middle of a takeover by Chinese businessmen, so are expected to spend big in January with a huge influx of cash.

It is therefore still possible 34-year-old Ibra could return to Milan and Serie A next year.

The Swede famously called Milan his “second home” and in 2012 admitted “this is a club where I could imagine going back, if I had to choose.”

He only spent two years at San Siro from 2010-12 before he was sold to PSG along with Thiago Silva to raise much-needed funds.

Ibrahimovic scored 57 goals and provided 24 assists in 85 competitive games for Milan, winning the Scudetto and Italian Super Cup.
