Mino Raiola admits he has no regrets over Gigio Donnarumma’s move to PSG and confirms both Alessio Romagnoli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic could extend with Milan.

Raiola met Milan directors in the morning to discuss Romagnoli and Ibrahimovic’s contract extensions.

Both players are reportedly willing to continue at San Siro, extending their current deals, which run out in June 2022.

Raiola spoke to a few reporters waiting for him outside Casa Milan after today’s meeting.

“It was a good meeting, but I don’t talk about ongoing negotiations,” Raiola said.

“Can he stay at Milan? Everything is possible. Ibrahimovic never changes, he is always the same. Can he extend? Everything is possible.”

Raiola asked if, among the reporters, there was somebody from La Gazzetta dello Sport as the pink paper had reported Milan were negotiating Romagnoli’s contract extension without talking to him.

The Italian agent also spoke about Gigio Donnarumma with the former Milan shot-stopper who has recently admitted his frustration regarding the lack of playing time at PSG.

Donnarumma faces foreseeable PSG dilemma

“It’s not a delicate situation, it’s a new situation. I’ve already said that there will be no problems and there won’t be,” the Italian agent said.

Did he talk to Milan about him?

“No, I don’t think I took him away from anyone, I am not a taxi driver. I work for my players’ good. I have no regrets.”

In the end, he was asked his thoughts on Federico Bernardeschi, who changed agent, swapping Raiola with Federico Pastorello.

“When I lose a player, it’s always my fault,” said Raiola.

“I wish Bernardeschi all the best. They are always free to leave. They aren’t prisoners.”

  1. Mino,
Thanks for helping twist Gigi’s arm in getting him over to PSG. Although the crux of the scenario unfolding about his lack of playing time is much of Gigi’s own doing (i’m sure he knew he wouldn’t always be a starter), i can’t help but feel that you played a significant role in his persuasion!

Now we (Italian National team) have a 22 year old Euro winner that is primarily warming PSG’s over inflated bench while he should be getting regular game time to ensure he’s in peak physical condition for our playoffs.

This is not a Gigi “kicking you when your down” post, but Gigi, goto PSG’s management and ask to be loaned back to Serie A come January so that you get some consistent game time.

Mino, stay out of it please you leach..

  2. Good points Dan.

Also of note, Mino offered Ibra to PSG this summer during the transfer window. Fortunately Ibra was happy at Milan and requested to stay.

    His power knows no bounds.

  3. Also of note, ligue 1 is a step down in competition and everyone knows it. Their heavyweight is becoming a glorified retirement home for south american and spanish players. Even if he was starting, it’s not a good enough league for him to grow and progress.

  4. Why is everyone blaming Mino as if he kidnapped a minor??

Gigio is a stingy, longthrowted, unrealistically ambitious kid. He was advised against that move but he thought €8m per season offered by Milan was a peanut.

See how rusty and out of confidence he looks for Italy? That’s not Gigio… He has allowed greediness to overshadow his sense of reality.

Mino is a devil we knew…. Gigio is the devil we thought was the angel. The money he’s earning there should compensate for the pain.

How come a 22 year old kid who earned €6m for 3 years and had another offer of €8m per season for another 3 years would not be satisfied?

Only Gigio and his family are at fault. They should live with it.

  5. How much more money does this pig need to feed himself? Just look.

The Qatari’s don’t need money and Leonardo needs to do right and loan him, rent him out to an Italian team so his growth doesn’t stagnate. If anything they should do it for their own players future.

Raiola needs to earn his money and do his client a favor and get a deal worked out for January. Say nothing of his own country.
