Raiola comments on Bernardeschi choosing Lukaku’s agent

Mino Raiola says it is ‘his fault’ if Federico Bernardeschi left him to join Federico Pastorello.

The Italy winger quit Raiola, becoming a new client of Pastorello. It was the Italian agent to announce Bernardeschi’s decision on Wednesday.

Pastorello’s most famous client is arguably former Inter star Romelu Lukaku who joined Chelsea over the summer.

“It should have happened earlier, but sometimes good things take a long time to happen!! I am proud to announce Federico Bernardeschi signed with SportManagement. Welcome to the family,” Pastorello wrote.

Bernardeschi sees his Juventus contract expire at the end of the season and Pastorello will now negotiate a new deal with the Old Lady.

“When I lose a player, it’s always my fault,” Raiola said after a meeting with Milan at the Rossoneri’s headquarters on Thursday.

“I wish Bernardeschi all the best. They are always free to leave. They aren’t prisoners.”

The former Fiorentina winger joined Juventus in a €40m deal in 2017.

The 27-year-old has scored ten goals in 159 appearances with the Old Lady. He was part of the Italy team that won the Euros over the summer.

Bernardeschi is not the first Juventus player to join Pastorello’s client list.

Lukaku’s representative was recently picked by another Bianconeri player, Arthur, who decided to sign with the Italian agent.
