Atalanta midfielder Cristian Raimondi is out for the rest of the season after damaging his anterior cruciate ligament.
He was stretchered off during Sunday’s 0-0 Serie A draw away to Empoli and straight away the injury seemed serious.
Today Atalanta confirmed Raimondi has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will require reconstructive surgery.
