Juventus coach Max Allegri had to be pushed away by his own players after a red card for repeatedly clashing with Inter assistant manager Massimiliano Farris in the Coppa Italia Final.

The two were arguing repeatedly during the match at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, even going head-to-head at one stage, which saw them both booked.

After the game went to extra time and Inter scored twice in the space of three minutes with an Ivan Perisic penalty and the Croatian’s rocket to go 4-2 up.

The Nerazzurri’s celebrations further riled up Allegri, who was absolutely furious and tried to launch himself at Farris and Lautaro Martinez.

Even after referee Paolo Valeri flashed the red card, Allegri was still trying to continue the argument on the touchline and was dragged away towards the locker room by Federico Bernardeschi.

Allegri has been known for screaming on the touchline and famously throwing his coat to the ground in frustration, but this was several levels above what anyone has seen from the Bianconeri boss.

  1. ……But did his job by taking off (by far) his best player (Dybala), and replacing him with (by far) the worst player on the squad, Moise Kean. Bravo, Allegri!!

  2. @AD, sour grapes. Both penalties were good. On the other hand, Juve’s first goal was off of a deflection and the second was a fortunate rebound off of Handanovic’s face. Basically the only two chances Juventus had all game. It was obvious which team was the better of the two overall and they were the ones that one. Simple as that. Thankfully, Juventus didn’t concede the third during regular play as it forced Inter to play an extra 30 minutes, by far the most important aspect of this game😜.

  3. Well, every person with a little intelligence knew that this match was fixed eversince Inter lost their chance for the Scudetto. It was very obvious through the season that Inter had to win a price, no matter what. Well, now they did and Milan will win the Scudetto. It was written in the stars.

This comes from a neutral fan who loves Italian football since the ’80s. The beautiful game can be very ugly as well in Italy, as we all know. Today (and this season) was another fantastic example for that.

  4. I told the Inter fans to CALMA. Marotta has the VAR under control. The Dutch Phil Jones never learns, but how Brozo stays on the pitch is just baffling. Either way full credit to Inter for showing the grinta, attacking and not letting up. PhD Max pantyhose fan girl NOrata will be hiding from me and is crying under his bed. Not an Inter hater or Juve for that matter, but just against the Omicron Variant better known as PhD Max.

  5. Can’t blame him after ref gifting them two pens, the only way they could bin
Never mind Gina alla fine Forza Juve!!!

  6. Incredible meltdown from Allegri.
First it was the bizarre press conference yesterday when he started rambling about Juve’s performance against Man Utd in 2018 and now this.

    Both penalties were rightly given.
Juve were far better in the first half could’ve scored more than 2, but then they backed down and Inter pushed hard.

    Great final.

  7. All the criticism for Allegri because of his “defensive football”. Told his player to sit back after leading. But that tactics displayed also by Inzaghi. After Barella goal, Inter slowed down and their player sit back waiting chance to counter attack! Thats why Juve back into the game throughout first half. Several solid chances only denied by Handanovic’s brilliance.

This continued in the second half. It’s Juve who took the initiative. And there they scored twice. After that, yes Allegri told his player to slow it down and sat back. Just like what Inzaghi did. It’s Italian thing!

Difference was that almost fruitful for Allegri. That Dybala counter, dribbled past Brozovic and got took down. That surely a red card for Brozovic for dissent! What were the referee thinking? There was commotion from Bonucci on the sideline, asked the ref to check the VAR. A red card for the trailing Inter would make everything easier for Juve, i guess them referees dont want that.

And what about that Lautaro penalty? Nobody touched him. That leg of his was the one who came into Bonucci. Bonucci did nothing! He wasnt even active. By comparison, in the first half when Vlahovic fell down, Inter CB was active “pushing” him. Yes Vlahovic lost balance, but what made it different?

Cant blame Allegri for the approach. He won plenty with his football, and this time he’s just unlucky with the VAR.

  8. Football is so corrupted now a days. Whoever pays & has more power wins games. Anyone who says there is no corruption is lying to themselves. Football doesn’t even hide the corruption any more

  9. That was the funniest game I ever saw maybe. It was so corrupted. Football doesn’t even hide corruption & cheating no moreZ just give a team 4 penalties against another in 1 season and act like everything’s legal😂😂😂😂

  10. @Vero well said, everyone in serie A knows that Rube who always try to influences the refs for so many years. But money spent on CR7 makes their budget on refs is down to zero, and that what makes serie A good to watch again. As in this game, both penalties were valid as Refs did a very good job overall. Rube should blame themselves as they didn’t do anything after they scored second goal, not on refs who didn’t give them much favour again

  11. Juventus were better ever after 0:1, and when they took the lead 2:1, I knew they were going to stop. They did. They gave Inter the ball and let them back in. Inter was far from impressive – Juventus were just GONE after taking the lead.

I don’t know if it’s allegri “tactics” or just the players mentality. I think it’s more the coach. Could have been a great game (as a Juve fan), but I knew they would throw it so I’m not too disappointed.

Disgraceful histrionics by Allegri at the end. He thinks it’s still 2016.

  12. Nothing to add. Best team won and Juve gave it a good go but ran out of steam. Its obvious that investments need to be made in every position and hopefully this loss will highlight to the management that the depth isn’t there.

  13. Just wanted to stop by and cogratulate Mr Allegri on reaching the final. I hope he and the team enjoy those 2nd place medals. Morata looked like he was crying. Poor thing. No Super Coppa, No Coppa Italia, no wins over Inter.

    Zero Tituli

  14. Great game, as usual with the lead Juve goes into the Allegri defensive shell and failed. Inter wanted it more attacked snd caused Juve to make mistakes. Make no mistake Inter was better, never panicked and confidently succeeded. Bravo Inzaghi and Bravo Pericic a true professional and team player.

  15. lol pantyhose actually showed his face. Ran out of steam, true but grinta has gone. That is what happens when you defend deeper then deep as I predicted and shut up shop with 3 defenders. Both penalties could have been avoided if they did not invite that pressure. How many corners did Inter get and were allowed to cross the ball at will. Klopp and even dare I say Mikel Arteta look for more goals. PhD Max says CALMA, no more then 2. He must have been seething with rage seeing Dusan score the second. No wonder he did not celebrate lol.

  16. Inter was better than juventus.
But I wish to point out that calciopoli was created by Inter.
Hiw it is that Valerie make that big mistake of not sending Bronovic out.
I asked if he us going to be punished?

  17. @objective very good analyst of the match and whole italian football things

For inter and their fans, whatever you said and felt bro, you just got lucky and referee favor this time

For juve and their management just wake up and realize, for how long time yet you could mindful that this coach (allegri) is really too old fashioned
Just bring back the meaning of juventus (youth) and give them back their identity
Fresh coach, fresh blood, and throw away the old ones (allegri, arthur, rabiot, alex sandro, chiellini, bonucci, bernardeschi)
    Bring them on (fagioli,rovella,miretti,raspadori,gvardiol,akanji,bremer)

  18. @INTER CORRUPTION FC, mind boggling statement. You’d think it was Inter that had 36 scudetti, and 14 coppe not Juventus. I know it’s hard when you’re used to winning, but when you do lose it’s called losing, not corruption.

@Anthony, random comment about Calciopoli stuck in the middle of otherwise valid observations. Inter didn’t “create” Calciopoli. They just weren’t punished for participating like all the other clubs were due to the statute of limitations. So that has more to do with the Italian legal system than it does with whatever any club did or didn’t do. This is what you can be upset about.

  19. Since Marota went to Inter I know what was going on
Marota is bigger than Mogi on Italy never stop those things
But I never thought inter will bit yuventus on corruption
Well done inter and inter fan
Finally they start to smile because all theirs life they have been crying lol
