Even Rafael Leao’s social media activity is under scrutiny these days with some Milan fans worried about seeing their star follow Chelsea on TikTok.

The 23-year-old will continue contract extension talks with Milan in the coming days after Portugal’s elimination from the World Cup.

A target of Chelsea in the summer transfer window, Leao still has plenty of admirers, including the Blues, Manchester City and PSG although the Ligue 1 giants are now expected to make their move in January.

As reported by Gazzetta, Leao followed Chelsea’s TikTok profile on Tuesday but quickly changed his mind and then unfollowed the Premier League giants.

It was too late, however, as many Chelsea and Milan fans had already noticed his activity on social media. It is still unclear why Leao first followed and then unfollowed the Blues on TikTok, but it’s safe to say his future at San Siro doesn’t depend on that.

Leao said while on international duty that he would carry on negotiations with the Rossoneri after the World Cup, suggesting that he wants to continue his journey with the Rossoneri.

Leao made five appearances as a substitute at the World Cup with Portugal, scoring two goals.

7 thought on “Rafael Leao’s TikTok activity puts Milan and Chelsea fans on alert”
  1. Mind games to force AC to fork out a bigger contract. Sell and reinvest, there’s a number of Salzburg youngsters I would spend that money on.

  2. It stinks of the Kessie behaviour all over again! Before going away on international duty at the Olympic, Kessie confesses his love for the Rossoneri and after set tournament, he changes his tune and leaves eventually. Leao is gonna follow suit only difference Milan will pocket a good profit and bring in 2 or 3 top young talents. No player is bigger than AC Milan! Forza MILAN!!!

  3. If Milan really do get 100+m for him, I’d sell. He is the key figure (with Theo) at Milan. If he wanted to sign a contract by now, he would have. It’s that simple.

Even completely average players in England, like Ziyech, are requesting 6-8+m per year. Leao will single handedly win a few table points for Chelski but he’ll also cost a few as well because of his lack of defense. At Milan, he’s essentially attack only. He chills during the defensive phase. At Chelsea? The team won’t be built around him. He’ll have to at least TRY to play defense.

Great player and future top player, but he’s not there yet.

  4. Well its all about money
    Pay him
Of you want to compete in Europe, you need to spend money. Paying him what he wants is worth it, he is 23 , he may play for another 10 years at top level, this why other top players won’t come to Milan

  5. Sell him now and invest the money on players that want to play with the club. Don’t beg him. He is yet another kessie. He is not that good. He has some qualities but if he goes in a high pressure club there is no guarantee he will secure a starting 11 and he can be watching games rather than playing as it has happened with his national team. Why? Because top clubs have many good players who can offer far better consistancy
