Rafael Leao is out of this evening’s Champions League semi-final against Inter, as he was not spotted getting on the Milan team bus with the other players.
It kicks off at San Siro at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).
The second leg is next Tuesday at the same venue, as these clubs share the same stadium.
Leao had been a major doubt until the last minute, but failed a fitness test at the Milanello training ground today.
Coach Stefano Pioli said either Leao would be in the starting XI or in the stands, as there would be no point having him on the bench if there was risk of further damaging the thigh muscle.
It seems the decision has been made, because Leao did not appear to get on the team bus outside the Hotel Melià as it left for San Siro this evening.
The Milan squad was staying at a hotel in the city, whereas Inter had remained at their Appiano Gentile training ground and therefore had a longer bus journey to the stadium.
