Ahead of his transfer to Real Mallorca, Nemanja Radonjic has sent a farewell message to Torino fans. ‘I am sorry it ended this way, but you never know what life holds for you.’

The Serbia international turns 28 next month and had also been linked with Olympiacos FC, Monza and MLS side the San Jose Earthquakes.

It is believed to be a loan deal with obligation to buy at the end of the season for €3m.

He is going to set out this evening and undergo medical tests on Wednesday before signing the contract.

“Thank you to everyone, especially the fans who always stood by me and pushed me forward,” wrote Radonjic on Instagram Stories.

“I am sorry it ended this way, but this is life and you never know what life holds for you. I will always see Torino as my home… I love you. Rado.”

Radonjic came to Toro initially on loan from Olympique Marseille in the summer of 2022 and made it permanent a year later for €1.7m.

However, his rapport with coach Ivan Juric was difficult and they regularly clashed in training over his attitude, leading to several exclusions.

He scored seven goals and provided four assists in 41 official appearances for Torino.
