Veronique Rabiot, the mother of Juventus and France midfielder Adrien, was ‘disgruntled’ when she found out about the club’s secret salary agreements.

The Bianconeri are currently under investigation for allegedly agreeing to pay their players three months’ worth of wages despite publicly stating that four months of wages had been waived in the early stages of the COVID pandemic. Juventus’ statement had an effect on the stock market and this explains why the club risk severe penalties in this case.

As highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Rabiot’s mother Veronique told the Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office that she was “disgruntled” when discovering the secret salary agreements with players, because the club had not spoken to her first.

She also revealed that they requested four months’ worth of wages but because her son replied late the club only agreed to three.

Giorgio Chiellini was the only one not to sign a secret agreement but instead agreed to an Ambassador contract, starting from 2021 and valid for five years.
