Rabiot wants three-year contract from Manchester United as talks continue

Adrien Rabiot is reportedly asking for a three-year contract from Manchester United and director of football John Murtough has flown to France to try to agree a deal.

The Red Devils are desperately looking to strengthen their midfield this summer after an incredibly unconvincing opening fixture against Brighton, where they lost 2-0. Particular attention was paid to their midfield pairing of Scott McTominay and Fred, with many suggesting that the team cannot improve without replacing one or both players.

As highlighted by TMW, Rabiot has seemingly requested a three-year contract worth around €10m net per season, which also includes various other details and add-ons. His mother and agent Veronique is in close contact with Manchester United, who sent Murtough to France today in an attempt to iron out a deal.

Selling the Frenchman would allow Juventus to make a decisive move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes, who has heavily been linked with a move to Turin this summer.
