Adrien Rabiot has grown into an important figure for Juventus this season but his high contract demands may lead to his departure next summer, reports suggest.

The 27-year-old French midfielder has become a highly trusted part of Massimiliano Allegri’s squad in Turin this season, scoring five goals and providing one assist in 15 appearances across Serie A and the Champions League. Rabiot seemed close to joining Manchester United in the summer but a move didn’t materialise after he failed to agree personal terms with the English club.

As detailed by Calciomercato.com, Juventus sporting director Federico Cherubini spoke to Rabiot’s mother and agent Veronique on the phone recently to discuss a new contract for the midfielder. The demands from the Frenchman’s camp were made clear: a three-year deal worth €10m net per season.

The Bianconeri staff believe that the interest of a top club in England is behind Rabiot’s huge demands, something that the club seemingly aren’t willing to match. The 27-year-old’s requested salary would make him the highest earner at the club, above other stars like Paul Pogba and Dusan Vlahovic.

  1. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂…what a clown!!! Oh…that made my day!!!

  2. Knowing the real Notts County and Newcastle B of Europe, they will give it. He seems a firm favorite of the 0.01 and while they are at it give Cafu £12M. Do not forget Roberto Carlos. He is due for a renewal and is good for £15M.
