Adrien Rabiot insists Serie A is ‘an under-estimated league. You learn so much and the training is very hard, with focus on the tactical side of the game.’

The midfielder played in last night’s 0-0 friendly draw between France and Portugal, so was reunited with Juve teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

“We talked about it after the final Juve game of the season. He told me that we have a very solid squad, but to keep an eye out, because Portugal are there too,” said Rabiot in his press conference.

“In this France midfield, you must be ready for anything, as we move around a lot and invert our positions.”

Rabiot has just completed his second season in Serie A, but Juve struggled this time around, finishing fourth.

“It is an under-estimated league. You learn so much from Serie A, especially when you arrive as a foreign player. There are other clubs where you work well too, not just Juve, which is why there are so many French players in Italy.

“The training is very hard, there is a lot of focus on the tactical side of the game. I have grown and matured so much, and you can see it in the way I play.

“I had talked to Gigi Buffon about that when we were teammates at PSG: he told me a season at Juve is worth two or three elsewhere.”
