Juventus have decided that the time is right to part ways with Adrien Rabiot and two Premier League clubs have emerged with interest, Daniele Longo details.

The 29-year-old French midfielder left things late last year when agreeing a new contract with the Old Lady, putting pen to paper only days before his deal officially expired. Keeping his options open, he signed a one-year deal worth €7m net, the same wages as his prior deal.

Rabiot has continued to be a key part of Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus squad this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists in 2311 minutes of action across 27 matches. He is still a regular for the France national team and looks set to be a starter at the European Championship.

Rabiot future

Longo of Calciomercato.com details how contract negotiations between Veronique Rabiot and Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli stopped months ago, with both parties agreeing that now is the right time to part ways.

The 29-year-old Frenchman is now on track to leave the Old Lady on a free transfer in the summer and two Premier League clubs – Manchester United and Newcastle – have both emerged to explore a deal.

Things could change should Thiago Motta take over from Allegri, however, as the younger coach could try to convince Rabiot to stay in his squad.
