Adrien Rabiot reportedly left for EURO 2024 without giving a definitive answer to Juventus regarding his immediate future, and now the 29-year-old temporarily finds himself without a club.

The Frenchman’s contract with the Old Lady expired at the end of June. He had signed a one-year deal the previous summer, and had been in talks with Bianconeri management over a new extension that might have seen him stay at the Allianz Stadium for several years into the future.

Rabiot leaves Juventus without an answer

La Gazzetta dello Sport detail that Juventus had been preparing a two-year contract with an option for a further 12 months on roughly the same wages that Rabiot had previously been earning, believed to be in the region of €7.5m plus bonuses per season.

However, an agreement over a contract extension had not been reached before the player set off for EURO 2024 with France, despite the fact he had reportedly promised to give Juventus a definitive answer before the tournament kicked off.

Rabiot now finds himself as a free agent, while Juventus have already added two new midfielders to their ranks this summer in Khephren Thuram and Douglas Luiz.

Meanwhile, recent reports confirmed Rabiot and his mother-come-agent Veronique have explored potential free transfers to Real Madrid, Liverpool, Milan, Roma and Galatasaray.

A renewal with Juventus now appears to be massively unlikely, as Rabiot effectively vanished off the club’s radar, according to La Gazzetta’s version of events.
