Adrien Rabiot insists the 1-1 home draw with Inter ‘is a good result’ and admits Juventus players talk about making a Scudetto challenge. ‘I believe we can do it.’

The Bianconeri had taken the lead in the Derby d’Italia this evening through Dusan Vlahovic on a Federico Chiesa assist, but it was cancelled out before half-time by Lautaro Martinez.

“I think it is a good result. We wanted to win, obviously, but they are a very tough team to play against. We are not even halfway through the season, so we have time to pick up more points,” Rabiot told DAZN.

“On their goal we were all a bit too unbalanced and they went long ball. We needed to be more determined marking Lautaro, but we knew they were strong and I think it is a good point.

“The second half was more balanced and did not have as many opportunities. I see the glass half-full, then we will certainly do better in future games.”

The opening goal from Vlahovic showcased the way former Fiorentina youth academy teammates Chiesa and the Serbian understand each other.

“Dusan is a great player and he has this bond with Chiesa, so I am happy for them to combine for this goal,” added Rabiot.

Max Allegri and director Cristiano Giuntoli continue to insist that the objective for Juventus is to finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League, but Rabiot does not seem to have that memo.

“The objective we talk about in the locker room obviously is to win the Scudetto. We are champions, we must be aware of that and I believe we can do it.”

The gap at the top of the table remains just two points between leaders Inter and second-placed Juve, while this draw allows Milan and reigning champions Napoli to close up on the front two.
