Adrien Rabiot is happy to ‘help’ Juventus with his two goals in a 4-2 victory over Sampdoria, discusses their mentality problems and hints his future could still be in Turin. ‘I think I will score more too.’

The Bianconeri thought it was going to be easy after going 2-0 up through Gleison Bremer and Rabiot headers, but Samp scored twice in 72 seconds to level it before half-time.

Rabiot completed his brace in a controversial goal, as there are suspicions of handball, and Dusan Vlahovic fired a penalty onto the upright.

In stoppages, Matias Soule scored on the rebound from another Vlahovic effort that came off the woodwork for 4-2.

“In some moments, we all have to take responsibility and step up, it was an important goal to bring home the victory and I am happy,” Rabiot told DAZN.

“We had started the game well, then conceded two goals we absolutely should not be letting in. It’s a matter of mentality, we must work to be more concentrated throughout the match. Those distractions allowed two goals.”

Rabiot will be a free agent at the end of the season and is discussing a new deal with Juventus, though that may well depend on their qualification for the Champions League.

“I am not thinking about anything at the moment. I am happy to help the team and then we’ll see. I am happy here, which is why I am scoring so many goals at the Stadium, and I think I will score more too.” The France international had been a frustrating figure for Bianconeri fans throughout his time in Turin, but has been in the best form of his career this season.
