After Manchester United terminated talks with Adrien Rabiot, more details are emerging on what demands the Juventus midfielder’s agent was making and the salary was only the start.

The clubs had agreed a fee worth €20m plus bonuses to sell Rabiot, who is only under contract with Juve until the end of this season.

However, Manchester United abandoned the deal when trying to work out personal terms with Veronique Rabiot, the player’s agent and mother.

According to Calciomercato.com, the €10m per season salary was only a small part of the demands they were making.

There were also add-ons for all four or five years of the contract he would sign at Old Trafford.

On top of that, his agent also requested another €8-10m between commission and signing-on fee.

All of that was considered far too much by Manchester United, especially as the salary Rabiot is on at Juventus is €7m per season plus bonuses.

  1. That might have been the wisest move by Utd in a very long time if not ever. It is ludicrous for a player coming from a minnow of European football to be demanding that type of money. Very similar to PhD Max who himself is on far too much.

  2. Don’t worry, the PhD will bring tranquility and serenity to the team even if Rabiot remains on 7mil wages and MIA in the midfield.

  3. David where you see something offensive? Man robbed our team, we lost 20 millions, and will need to pay him salary qnd 2ill not get paredes. Why man is so bad? What we don so bad for him?
