Rabiot bids farewell to Juventus: ‘Goodbye and good luck’

Adrien Rabiot sent a brief message bidding farewell to Juventus fans after his departure on a free transfer earlier this month.

The 29-year-old Frenchman’s future was shrouded in doubt in the months leading up to the summer transfer market, with many reports detailing the club’s desire to offer the midfielder a new short-term contract following his strong 2023-24 season.

Rabiot left with France for the European Championship in June without agreeing a new contract with Juventus and a deal ultimately failed to materialise in the following weeks. Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli then confirmed that the midfielder had left the club on a free transfer.

Posting a highlights video on his Instagram page, Rabiot wrote a short message bidding farewell to Juventus and their fans.

“After five seasons with Juventus, five years in Turin, I want to say goodbye and thank you. All of you who have been there for me. The club and all the staff. And you fans, always close and very affectionate! Thank you for everything Juventus. Goodbye and good luck.”

During his five years with the Old Lady, the French midfielder scored 22 goals and provided 15 assists across 212 games, helping the club win one Scudetto and two Coppa Italia titles.
