Legendary commentator Peter Brackley, known for his association with Football Italia, has died aged 67.
A lifelong fan of Brighton and Hove Albion, the Premier League side were the first to pay tribute to Brackley.
“So many of us here at the club knew Peter well. He was a hugely talented, knowledgable, funny and, above all else, a good man. We will miss him,” chief executive Paul Barber told the Seagulls’ official website.

“Our condolences go out to Peter’s family, including our colleague and his nephew Paul, and all of his many friends.”
Brackley commentated for Football Italia on Channel 4 in the 1990s and also worked for BBC, ITV and Sky, giving his voice to World Cups between 1986 and 2006.
He also tried his hand at video games, serving as the commentator on Pro Evolution Soccer until its 2006 edition.
