The forward carried out specific training in the gym with the players who didn’t play against Genoa today and news agency ANSA reports Sampdoria hope he will be back against Torino this weekend.

Defenders Lorenzo Tonelli and Tommaso Augello played in the Derby della Lanterna on Thursday and are available against Torino, having served bans in the 2-1 defeat to Bologna last weekend.

Sampdoria have gone four games without a win across all competitions and aim to bounce back from three consecutive defeats in Turin.

Claudio Ranieri’s men sit 10th in Serie A ahead of this weekend’s match against Marco Giampaolo’s men but haven’t won in Serie A since the surprising 3-1 triumph against Atalanta on October 24.
