Fabio Quagliarella is not convinced that Juventus need a new striker this summer after links with Sergio Aguero and Giuseppe Rossi.

The Atletico Madrid and Villarreal players have been monitored by the Old Lady as they look for a big name signing.

Although Quagliarella says he would have no issue with such an arrival, he's underlined Juve's strength up front.

"Last season, up until January, we had the best attack in Serie A, therefore it's not like we had problems in that department," he stated.

"It's right though that a club like this is after strong players. If they come here I'll welcome them with open arms."

Quagliarella is back in full training after being ruled out of last term following knee ligament damage on January 6.

"The desire is immense, I can't find any words to express it. I'm finally back training with the team, with the same rhythm and movement.

"Now the only worry is to keep my muscles under control in this pre-season preparation stage."

Quagliarella was used as a second striker by Gigi Del Neri last term, but new boss Antonio Conte could field him out wide on the left in a 4-2-4.

"If I need to sacrifice myself for the benefit of the team it's fine, even if playing the entire championship in that position would be tough," he added.

"But if the Coach asks me to then there's absolutely no problem. I like his football ideas, because under his management the strikers are always at the heart of the play.

"The Coach knows exactly what he's after – to win. We must face every game with an open mind, going for it against any team, home or away.

"We need to press and make our opponents instantly recognise that facing Juventus isn't an easy task."
