Fabio Quagliarella is refusing to rule out Juventus in the race for the Italian championship this season.

Juve are currently fourth in the standings, six points behind leaders Milan, but the summer signing has high hopes for the rest of the campaign.

"The objective, as the Coach and my teammates have already said, is to stay in the high region of the League table," he told Sky Sport 24.

"Then hope that we can end the season with a sprint, from April, by claiming either a place in the Champions League or the Scudetto."

However, the former Napoli player, signed after Juve sold Diego to Wolfsburg, is respectful of the difficulties Serie A can bring.

"The championship this season is illustrating that there is a danger in every game," the Italian added.

"We have to remain concentrated because the table is short [in terms of points]. If you make one or two false moves you'll soon find yourselves behind.

"We need to be good at not being beaten. Sometimes a draw away from home is a good result because at the end of the day you need all the points you gain."

Juventus take on Fiorentina this weekend at the Olimpico in the Saturday evening tie.
