Fabio Quagliarella will not require surgery after a knee ligament injury, so the veteran Sampdoria striker will have conservative treatment.
There were fears for the career of the forward who will turn 40 next month, as he sustained a lesion in the left knee during a training session in Turkey.
The good news is that Quagliarella has visited the orthopaedic specialist and the verdict was a positive one.
Surgery will not be required and he is already beginning his rehabilitation routine.
Quagliarella has scored 181 goals in 545 Serie A appearances.
