Sampdoria forward Fabio Quagliarella has signed a new deal until June 2022 and said he’s ‘proud and honoured to be considered a legend’ at the club.

The 38-year-old continues to contribute on the pitch for the Blucerchiati and finished the 2020-21 campaign with 13 goals in 33 Serie A games.

His last contract would have expired this month, but the veteran signed a new deal to remain at the Marassi for at least another season.

“Proud and honoured to be considered a Sampdoria legend,” Quagliarella wrote on Instagrem. “Thanks to the President, the coaches and teammates who accompanied me until now.

“And thanks to the fans who have always supported me. The adventure continues.”
