QPR chairman Tony Fernandes “would like Adel Taarabt to stay,” but there is interest from Milan, Inter and Napoli.

The Morocco international spent the last six months on loan at San Siro and impressed, scoring four goals in 14 Serie A games.

“I would like him to stay because he has a great history with us. He has never done it in the Premier League so that is for him to do. He has done it in flashes,” chairman Fernandes told reporters.

“He is probably one of the best players I have ever seen. He has a great football brain – he knows it. But it is up to him whether he wants to do it or not.

“From a professional standpoint I think it would be great if he stayed.”

Milan were unwilling to pay the original buy-out clause for Taarabt, but remain interested in the striker, while Napoli and Inter have also been linked.
