Queens Park Rangers are set to complete a permanent deal for Juventus’ Mauricio Isla, according to reports.

The Chilean wingback joined the Bianconeri from Udinese in 2012, but made just 18 Serie A starts across two seasons before being loaned to the English Premier League side.

The Chilean international has made nine Premier League starts since the loan deal, and reports in Italy state that Harry Redknapp’s side now want to make the deal permanent.

Gianluca Di Marzio’s website states that QPR are ready to pay an agreed €11m to seal Isla’s permanent transfer in January, something which Juventus would be open to as they pursue their own transfer targets.

Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta confirmed at the time of Isla’s loan move that the London club would have the right to buy the full-back for an agreed fee, which Di Marzio believes is the above €11m.

“We have already reached an agreement with the English club,” Marotta said at the time.

“The player has given his availability, it will be a loan with the option of a permanent deal.”
