Qatar’s Italian ambassador has confirmed that his country would be interested in buying Roma if it ‘made financial sense’.
Links between Qatar and Roma have existed for some time, despite James Pallotta’s continued denials that a sale could happen.

“Right now I’m not aware of anything between Roma and Qatar, but if there’s a possibility in the future then my nation will seize the opportunity.
“The state is very keen on investing in projects that have strong potential, in any field.
“Whether that’s in sporting, industrial, economic or military fields, it makes no difference because we’re working in every aspect.
“If buying Roma makes financial sense, Qatar will make an offer.”
