Christian Pulisic is hoping to be part of the AC Milan squad for the Coppa Italia against Lazio or at most Torino, but Santiago Gimenez’s recovery remains a problem.
The Rossoneri are flying high at the top of the Serie A table alongside Napoli following their 1-0 victory over Lazio at San Siro.
By a curious twist of fate, these two teams will meet again on Thursday in the Coppa Italia Round of 16, although the home advantage will be with Lazio in that fixture at the Stadio Olimpico.
AC Milan expect Pulisic back soon

Pulisic was ruled out of the Serie A meeting by a muscular problem, but La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia report he should be back in training on Tuesday or Wednesday.
That means it is possible he could be on the bench for Thursday, but it is more likely he’ll be preserved to play Torino in Serie A on Monday December 8 instead.

The news for Max Allegri from the treatment table is otherwise not good, because Santiago Gimenez is still working separately and the date of his return keeps getting put back.
Medical staff are worried about his progress and do not want to risk a relapse on that ankle issue.
His last game was the 1-1 draw with Atalanta on October 28.
