Luka Jovic and Christian Pulisic were among the best Milan performers in a 3-1 win over Frosinone, but Theo Hernandez also impressed Italian media, playing as a centre-back.

The France international was forced to change his role for a home game on Saturday night as any other centre-back except Fikayo Tomori was injured.

As Pioli revealed during a post-match interview, Theo suggested playing as a central defender given the Rossoneri’s injury crisis at the back.

Theo’s performance was convincing, as all Italian sports papers on Sunday morning rated him 7/10. It was the highest rating on Gazzetta, the same as Jovic and Pulisic.

The Serbia international scored his first goal for Milan in Serie A and assisted Tomori for their third goal of the night. Pulisic won possession in the build-up of Jovic’s goal and then doubled the Rossoneri lead with a ‘wonderful’ solo goal.

Jovic was the MOTM for Tuttosport with a rating of 7.5, the same as Maignan on Corriere dello Sport.
