The public will be able to pay tribute to Fiorentina and Italy defender Davide Astori at the FIGC Coverciano centre on Wednesday.
The Viola captain died in his sleep on Sunday morning at the team hotel, as they were preparing to play a Serie A match against Udinese.
An autopsy suggests he died of natural causes, cardiac arrest due to bradycardia – a slowing of the heart – and his funeral will be in Florence on Thursday.

“ACF Fiorentina would like to announce that tomorrow, Wednesday 7 March, the general public will have the opportunity to pay their respects to Davide Astori at the FIGC (Italian FA) technical centre in Coverciano, where the Fiorentina captain will lie in repose from 16:30 to 22:30.
“Entrance will be from Via Gabriele D'Annunzio 138. For reasons of public order and safety, anyone wishing to pay their final respects to the Davide is asked to arrive at the FIGC technical centre on foot, or alternatively to leave their vehicles at the car park in Via Aldo Palazzeschi.
“A shuttle service will be available to and from the car park. A special area will be set up within the technical centre for journalists.
“Out of respect for the family's wishes, it will not be possible to enter with cameras or videocameras, nor will it be possible to use smartphones or any other electronic devices.”
An unofficial shrine has come together at the gates of the Stadio Artemio Franchi, where Astori's teammates paid tribute today before they resumed training.
