PSV Eindhoven have reportedly sent Roma a tempting offer for wide-man Nicola Zalewski, who is now evaluating his options ahead of Sunday evening’s clash against Empoli.
PSV send Roma enticing bid for Zalewski
PSV have sent Roma an offer in the region of €9m for Zalewski, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio. The 22-year-old is now thinking about his best options.
There had also been interest in the youngster from Napoli in recent days, as there had been suggestions that he could be involved in some sort of player swap, including Cyril Ngonge moving in the opposite direction. Those links have since cooled off, though.
Though Zalewski is a versatile player, having been deployed at full-back, wing-back and most recently on the wing in a 4-2-3-1, his gametime at the Stadio Olimpico could be limited moving forwards this season.
That is because Roma are planning to add a new right-back to compete with Zeki Celik before the close of the transfer window.
Additionally, The Giallorossi now have Matias Soule practically guaranteed to start in the wide attacking positions, and now Paulo Dybala looks set to stay for another year, which makes a starting role on the wing unlikely, too.
