Reports from France claim that Paris Saint-Germain are targeting Fiorentina centre back Lucas Martinez Quarta.

The Parisian giants are looking around to add some cover to Luis Enrique’s backline in the closing stages of this January transfer window due to the prolonged absences of Presnel Kimpembe and Milan Skriniar.

Martinez Quarta has continued to prove himself as key part of Vincenzo Italiano’s Fiorentina squad this term, despite being just a step away from joining Real Betis in the summer. The 27-year-old has scored five goals in 23 games and played an important role in build-up and defensive work.

As reported by L’Equipe via TMW, PSG are interested in making a move for Martinze Quarta this month, with Luis Enrique appreciating the defender’s competitive spirit and comfort on the ball.

The 27-year-old, whose contract expires with Fiorentina in June 2025, has also attracted the attention of some Premier League clubs and Napoli.

The Viola don’t want to lose Martinez Quarta so it would take a convincing offer to push them to let the Argentine centre back leave this month.
