La Gazzetta dello Sport reports PSG will likely close the deal to sign Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo next week.
The Italy international is one of the hottest commodities in Serie A and has been targeted by the Ligue 1 giants who have made at least two offers to sign him.
According to Gazzetta, PSG’s latest bid was worth €40m plus add-ons, but Sassuolo are still pushing for more and insist they won’t sell for less than €50m.
The player’s agent Alessandro Lucci is expected to meet Sassuolo and PSG directors at the beginning of next week to finalise the agreement.
Gazzetta claims that the French side’s director Luis Campos will likely offer €45m plus add-ons, a proposal that Sassuolo would accept.
Scamacca, 23, has scored 24 goals in 65 Serie A appearances, managing 16 in 36 Serie A games last term.
The striker’s contract at the Mapei Stadium runs out in June 2026, but he seems destined to leave much earlier.
He will hardly get any playing time in PSG.

Terrible news for Italian National team. Why do player agents accept these type of deals? They already have Mbappe, Messi, Neymar, Icardi, and a few other young strikers. When will Scamacca play? So what the agent makes a lot of money and Scamacca gets a bigger paycheck. But he will not develop there which means he National Team will not have an in form striker to choose from.
He’s not a star and wasn’t impressive with his limited appearance recently on the National team with even Mancini criticizing his performance. He will ride the bench at PSG and not get any playing time to develop.
Kinda disagree on the bench comments. PSG don’t have a number 9, scamacca is that. If there looking for someone with a work rate, certain attitude, and who can selflessly hold up play while also be a threat to goal, i can absolutely see him getting time in a front 3 with mbappe and Messi, especially if Neymar is on his way out.
