Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly reached a full agreement with Lille for Milan target Renato Sanches.

The Rossoneri had been keeping a close eye on the 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder for a while and he seemed to be one of their key targets heading into the summer transfer window. Milan managed to agree the terms of a deal with Lille but failed to convince Sanches, who held out waiting for PSG.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, following a round of talks last night, Lille have agreed to sell Sanches to PSG for around €15m. His medical tests have now been scheduled in Paris and he’s set to complete the deal soon.

During his three years with Lille, the 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder made 90 appearances across all competitions, helping the side win the Ligue 1 title and the Trophée des Champions. He scored six goals and provided 10 assists for the French side.

  1. Is that 6 goals and 10 as.sists in 3 seasons? Not exactly prolific numbers.

Regardless, happy this “saga” is over and there will be no more links to Milan, where he obviously does not want to be.

  2. @DB MIlan – he’s not a box to box midfielder – he plays as the engine in the team – slightly higher up position to kante at chelsea –

he’s all about pressing the opponent.

Have no idea why milan are chasing him – been 30 days and he only wants to joining PSG – do find that cringe worthy

  3. I hope Milan will get a decent Italian midfielder now. Laters sanches! Adli is going to be a better player in the midfield position anyway.

  4. This always seemed to be the destined outcome. Now Milan can focus on players that want to be on the team. I want to see another star above the crest!
